Also known as Czechia, the Czech Republic is located in Central Europe. Until 1993, its territory and that of Slovakia were a part of a country known as Czechoslovakia. The countries had a peaceful dissolution as they declared their independence from the Austrian Hungarian.
Prague, also known as the "City of a Hundred Spires" is the capital of the Czech Republic and a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is known for its Old Town Square, baroque architecture, Gothic churches, a medieval astronomical clock and the Charles Bridge, a pedestrian bridge aligned with statues of Catholic saints and gorgeous views of the city along the Vtlava River.
