In 2013, I began a year-long photography project, looking to broaden my photographic skills. I visited a variety of neighborhoods, practicing new techniques along the way. By the end of the year, I realized I had accumulated a substantial collection of photographs documenting my home town. The collection included urban and suburban neighborhoods, city scenes, parks and attractions. I realized that I was enjoying these explorations and gaining a new appreciation for my city. I wanted to learn more. I've continued to document the neighborhoods and attractions of St. Louis ever since. I call the project #MyCitySTL.
